The Farewell

Goodbye to Preston 

It was with sadness that we said goodbye to Preston as he headed back to Oregon.

But as Preston said yesterday, the occasion brought closure to his ride across America just as it brought closure to mine.

I will always be grateful to him for inspiring and encouraging me to make this trip. Preston was always sending me links to other "older" people's cross country trips. That plus the links that I found made me realize that I could do this.

Next, I had to find a biking partner. Lynda was the perfect choice and it shows since we both accomplish this dream.

Now, we will always have these wonderful memories as we try to get our lives back to normal.
