Oh, Katrina!
A Casino in Gulfport, MS

Hurricane Katrina plowed into the Gulf Coast at daybreak today with shrieking, 145-mph winds and blinding rain. It made me relive some of the feeling I had a year ago when we got hit with three hurricanes here.
The sad part of this storm though is to see all the wonderful places we passed over in sunny April as we neared the end of our bike across America adventure.
In Gulfport, Ms the roads are 12 feet under water with boats hurled onto land and water pouring into Mississippi's strip of beachfront casinos. It is believed that Dauphin Island is no longer there for people to enjoy.
