Rest Day in Milton, Florida
What a joy to sleep in and then have a leisurely breakfast.
At breakfast, Pam met Mark. Relating her adventure to him and the fun it has been, Mark told her that several years ago, he walked across America.
It took him 10 months and two pairs of shoes to make the trek from Los Angeles, CA to Washington, DC. He was with a group of 60 environmentalists making the supported trip. He decided to carry his own gear but after a few weeks reduced the weighty backpack from 30+ pounds to 16 pounds.
My hat is off to him for attempting and finishing the trek.
