Half Way

We won't know what our halfway point is until we finish the trip but we feel we have travelled halfway by now.
Today was a perfect day for biking even though it started out very foggy. Perfect because we did not have strong headwinds to fight but rather gentle tailwinds to push us through these lower elevations of Texas.
We are approximately 40 miles south east of Austin, TX. The wild flowers as you saw are in full bloom along the sides of the road. This is the time of the year to enjoy the Texas Blue Bells, state flower.
Our fame is spreading! Meet Andy who is also biking San Diego to Florida. Apparently, everywhere he has been, people have asked him if he has met the two women that are biking coast to coast, too. Today our paths finally crossed as we arrive at our hotel for the night.
We will probably see a lot of each other from here on in. BTW: He left San Diego March 4 and is biking fully loaded so he is a much stronger biker than us!
