The Wishing Well

 


Despite the weather, we do stop at all the tourist spot for the folk lore.

Here we are at the wishing well. The water in the well flows down from the mountains and enters the well through a tiny creek.

When making the wish, one picks up a tiny stone and with your back to the well, you must throw the stone over your right shoulder (the good fairy side) as you make your wish. If it lands in the water your wish will come true.

I believe most of us wished for sunny weather.

Looking into the well later we saw a small white feather, which was a sign that a fairy had been there.
