Sierra Blanca
Happy Birthday, Darlene

This was a day to get from A to B.
We left early at 7:39 am dressed for cool temperatures under the grey skies. Again we rode along the Mexican border encounting a few loose dogs to add some excitement to our morning.
Our rode briefly on I-10, where we had to pass throught the Border Inspection Center (as if we could hide anyone on our bikes). And then we rode into Sierra Blanco,a town worthy of a stop. We arrived at the local grocery/snack stop just in time to help sing happy birthday to Darlene - the owner of the store. She was also celebrating the grand opening of her grocery store adjoining her antique shop.
This is a lunch were we had dessert first - a big slice of chocolate birthday cake.
