A Great Place to Eat 
Day 38 – Thursday, April 7th
Miles 66.2 Total Miles to Date 2214
We left the Best Western in Opelousas at 8 am under cloudy skies. The roads in this town were not the greatest but traffic was light as we left the town behind and headed for Washington and Le Beau.
The route took us along the Thisltewaite Wildlife Management Area so it was very quiet and serene. We noticed that after a rain the birds are more vociferous and the flowers more fragrant. We enjoyed all this as we cruised along.
Lunch was in Plaucheville at Pilgreen’s Café. This is a great stop with great food. We all had something different and each raved about the food. The owner is a LSU grad and I think a baseball lover by the all the framed work on the walls. He has started a journal in which he hopes all bicyclist passing through will leave there name, address and comments. Of course we could not resist and added our 2 cents. Try this place if you are in the area, you will like it.
The remainder of our trip to Simmesport was uneventful.
On the menu tonight is CRAWFISH.
