One Night in Mississippi

Home for the Night Posted by Hello

Day 42, April 11 Gulfport, MS
90.3 miles 2440 total miles

Our route changed when it became difficult to find accomodations in the Wiggins area. This gave us the opportunity to enjoy and travel along the gulf coast.

We were expecting torrential rain storms with winds gusting to 50 mph. The day started with light winds (again from the SE) but as the hours passed the winds got stronger. I thought travelling west to east at this time of year we were suppose to have tailwinds!

Even tough we were bombarded by the winds all day, we did manage to make it to our night's lodgings before the rains came.

The heavy rains, strong winds and tornado warning are all due to come during the wee hours and hopefully pass through before we start in the moring.

I believe our Angels are watching out for us.
