Sand and Surf
Sun, Sand, Water

Day 43, April 12
81.8 miles 2521 total miles
We were off by 8:05 for a quick 5 mile ride south to highway 90 east and along the Gulf of Mexico. The 25 miles along the shore was sunny, sandy and very scenic with all that sparkling water.
People were walking the boardwalk and fishing from the pier. Richard could not resist the urge to take his sandles off to walk along the the beach at the water's edge.
This route was dotted with casinos from Gulfport to Biloxi to Gulf Shores (our turning point). As tempting as it was Richard managed to fight back the lure of the slots.
Wind was light fom the WNW today making the ride to Mobile much more enjoyable than yesterday's ride.
The predicted storms did come. The rain and thunder and lighning blasted through the night making our morning sunny with little humidity.
