The Queen's Creek Tunnel, AZ
The Dreaded Tunnel

MARCH 10 - DAY 10
It was a long hard day, climbing and climbing. With elevations reaching 4647 feet.
Our angels were with us today guiding us through the Queen Creek Tunnel. The traffic was minimal but even at that the noise was deafening. John also drove behind us to keep anyone from coming up on us as there were no bike lanes. Tunnelling was a first for everyone!
We were so happy to see the Globe, AZ city sign that we could have kissed it.
This was our longest riding day yet and we ended up biking 67 miles making the total mileage to date 526 miles.
COMMENTS OF THE DAY
Pam: I am going to sleep like a log tonight!
Lynda: Pam is like a bionic woman, go girl!
John: even the old Ford groaned on a couple of hills.
