Today was straight and flat with neverending asphalt. Logging trucks constantly passed us on the left while we passed flooded swamps and forests on the right.
This gives you an idea of what the logging truck load looks like.
In 2003, my son bicycled across the USA and then discovered weeks later that he had
cancer. (He emerged from treatments healthy in 2004.) He inspired me to start biking, and in 2005 I raised over $15,000 for cancer research by making my own trans-America bike trip (achives under March and April 2005). I now work at a bike store but continue to go on long-distance bike trips, both in the US and internationally.
